Sino ba naman ang mag-aakala?

1st year...

2nd year...

3rd year...oh? talaga? after 3 years we are now graduating students..eh parang kailan lang naiingit kam isa mga graduating students kasi natapos na ang kanilang paghihirap sa school (but take note, mas matindi daw sa labas kasi yun ang "real world").

So, now we are about to graduate, good luck to my upcoming career and also to my dear classmates..specially to my bestfriends and closest friends...

First SONA of P-Noy

There so many Presidents that make promises to Filipino Nations but this July 26, 2010, President Noynoy Aquino will have his first State of The Nation Address (SONA)...his fellow country men are waiting for what PNoy can do to his country.

The State of the Nation Address (Filipino: Talumpati sa Kalagayan ng Bayan, abbreviated SONA) is an annual event in the Republic of the Philippines, in which the President of the Philippines reports on the status of the nation, normally to the resumption of a joint session of the Congress (the House of Representatives and the Senate). This is a duty of the President as stated in Article VII, Section 23 of the 1987 Constitution: (Wikipedia.org)

I am hoping the the first SONA of President Noynoy Aquino will become peaceful and Filipinos will listen and become aware about the current status of the country and its people.

It is expected that President Noynoy Aquino will discuss his promises to the watchful Filipinos and to the observing foreign countries. His SONA is more expected to be focus on corruption matters among government officials.

Aquino would not only dwell on the problems left behind by the Arroyo administration, but also offer ways to solve such snags. P.Noynoy Aquino will have another opportunity to lambast the former administration and to stress that he is “not superman” and that he “hopes that the Filipino people will have ‘reasonable’ expectations of him” or something to that effect or anything to lower peoples’ expectation of his performance for the next six years. P.Noy has to prioritize the economy because the economy affects everything. Those who challenge the President to look into their causes like the environment, the Mindanao peace deal, human rights abuses, etc., need to wait until the economy has picked up before the administration can even begin to start drawing something on the drawing board.

Those groups who want P.Noy to look into the environment and climate change should not hold their breath because achieving an economic boom does not go hand in hand with being environmentally friendly. It’s sad, but that’s reality. It just “ain’t gonna happen” under P.Noy’s watch.

The Philippines is P.Noy’s oyster. He has to prioritize the things that will benefit every citizen in the long term not just those who supported and financed his campaign. It would be too disappointing if P.Noy devotes most of his State of the Nation Address to the blame game. It is time for P.Noy to put his sleeves up and get his own hands dirty. He has to make up his mind about whether his administration will be about spending to stimulate the economy or about austerity if he prefers to have an image of (false) humility. He just has to be careful not to get stuck in analysis paralysis because of his preoccupation with maintaining an image of someone who is the opposite of the GMA. It’s just plain unproductive.

What priorities do you think President Noynoy Aquino will press on his first State of the Nation Address? Hunger, education, employment, corruption, economic development or training and facilities advancement? Let us hear your side and maybe, they would know some major concerns from us.

The New Leader of the Philippine Republic

The only son of the martyred Ninoy Aquino and former President Cory Aquino, Noynoy has finally come of age to continue the Filipino People's quest for Freedom from corruption, Clean, Honest, and Transparent Government of the people, by the people, and for the people, a Philippines showing its true Strength and Wealth! The Filipinos has come of Age. The time has come for the impossible dream to become... Possible again!

One might say that President Noynoy’s ascent to the highest office of the land occurred largely because of “the energy of divine grace.” First, his image as the son of “revered democracy icons Ninoy Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino” undeniably contributed a lot to the positive response he got from majority of the electorate. When his mother died from cancer last year, the quiet politician was urged to run for the presidency and submitted that his decision was influenced largely by the fateful events in his family’s life.

In reference to the number 15’s “new life” meaning, the Liberal Party’s campaign dwelt mainly on the promise to stay clean, as well as to act against corruption and poverty, which he reiterated when he was proclaimed last June 9. “As president, we will be in a position to effect the necessary changes,” he is quoted in an online report after the proclamation. “With the backing of the people, I don’t think anything is impossible.”

It is also worthy of note that in the official congressional count, Noynoy defeated his eight rivals with more than “15” million votes, almost six million votes ahead of his closest opponent, former President Joseph Estrada.

In spite of grumblings of a possible electoral fraud (so what else is new?), I don’t think anyone can argue against Noynoy’s popularity at the polls. It’s true that he has his share of “critics and haters,” to quote SPOT.ph, but it seems the general consensus is that he represents new hope. With his win, Filipinos are once again raring to see some changes in the country that has rapidly sunk in reputation and been flooded with issues of corruption.

What the 15th president will inherit though, is a lot of problems. Aside from unresolved cases of corruption, the country is suffering from rising poverty and hunger, violence and unrest in the south, political problems and a bad case of political distrust. The people may be eager for change, but we are not as easy to convince anymore. President Aquino will have his work cut out for him.

Leaders of other nations have already congratulated President Noynoy Aquino and Vice President
Jejomar Binay, who will hold office starting July 1, 2010 until June 30, 2016.

Let’s hope this surge of support won’t wane (or that his victory will prove to be just “15 minutes of fame,” so to speak). While we wait to see how Aquino will prove himself, let’s not wait to do our part in giving the country’s “new life” ourselves.

Some examples may be the Internet, websites, computer multimedia, computer games, CD-ROMS, and DVDs. New media is not television programs, feature films, magazines, books, or paper-based publications. (www.wikipedia.com)

New media today reflects as the easiest way to gather many information and news by its wide variety of search engine to search of with.

According to new media technology standards, certain commonalities exist between all types of modern mediums. Geographic distance is compromised due to the fact that the technology can be utilized in nearly every market around the world. The level and speed of communication is increased because of the ability of the new media arena to utilize the Internet. Additionally, the interactive level of information exchange allows users to adapt to new methodologies while supplying their own input. Also, previously isolated forms of communication, such as video and telephony, can be merged together using new media technology.

Where Are You This Short Vacation?

Everyone is excited to get in their vacations...many are go in their provinces to have a reunion with their families, relatives and friends...some are just making things that they didn't do...some are went to beach and have an outing...some are just stay in their houses...but the important thing is (whhooooo) it's a vacation (but short).

I started realizing, if a person are far away, you started to missed them already. Like what happened to me this vacation, I'm evaluating some things that happened to my life in past years. It's been a long time since I didn't made some stories of mine that really about to my life, what I've have been experienced, what my mistakes are and what good thins I did to my colleagues, friends and others who are closed with me.

I made a story entitled "Parang Kailan Lang", its talk about my past of what happened to me and what I am today. This story intends to realize what friends are and what can friends brought to us in our daily activities. but, the best thing was the memories of bonding and the time that you and your friends are together even in times of sadness and happiness, always they are there to share you a shoulder to lean on and a smile to laugh on.

If you would ask me where am I this last vacation, It's my birthday!(April 4) A wonderful celebration I ever encountered in my entire life. It was a surprised for me that my truly loving friends come and join me to celebrate my birthday bash. I was so thankful for my brethren Karl, Joan, Deejey and Ate Jhosh.

Baguio Insider

BAGUIO's ILLEGAL VENDOR PROBLEM

The city absolutely trying to stop, catch or penalize our illegal vendors. They are all over our parks, sidewalks, overpasses, and even on the streets at certain times of the day, most likely at Kayang.

Why these illegal vendors controversy didn't stop and to be repeated over an over again? Even though there were cops assigned to do this task to listen and stop them. Illegal vendors didn't refuse to did it because they said that "tumatakbo na lang kami pag paparating na sila para hulihin kami".

It is observed that there is an upsurge in the proliferation and mushrooming of vendors in public parks, sidewalks, overpasses, and any available space in the central business district with vendor traffic becoming a major problem in Baguio. But the reason there is a problem in the first place is because the city refuses to enforce local laws against illegal vending. It has gotten so bad already that there are people who will offer you a haircut or a manicure in Burnham Park.

Honestly, I dislike the thought of night markets. Especially since the items being sold in Baguio, day and night, are cheap China imports you can get in Divisoria or second hand clothing (the other things sold extensively, of course, are stolen cellphones). Why don't we offer our own handcrafts? It is more better to do things in good ways, it is not only message for the politicians but for the people of BAguio as well. We can prevent these if we are responsible for this and we are to respect by the image it self. Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines so why we don't bring back it?...we can do a little help, but can do more in our daily living.
